You can call up an options menu at any time during a game. Move Ecco left and right, and pause the game while Ecco is facing you (toward the screen). Next, press A, B, C, B, C, A, C, A, B. A menu will appear, offering several options including Level Select, Sound Test, and Invincibility.

Invincibility and Unlimited Air

For unlimited life and air, move Ecco left and right, and pause the game while Ecco is facing you (toward the screen). Next, press A, B, Right, A, C, A, Down, A, B, Right, A (Abra Cadabra). Your health and air will drop to 0, but you won't die!
