So, besides getting a GameShark code for infinite gold, how do you make Skies of Arcadia even better? Well, SEGA truly loves their RPG fans - you can download new files from the Skies of Arcadia homepage that will open up a new island and new boss fight!

Oh sure, that doesn't sound like much, but let me go into detail. To gain access to this website, boot up the game with disc 1 and you should see the homepage option. Once you access the page, there will be three files for download.

The First Download

The first file gives you the Hamachou Island. Located in the Dark Rift area, you won't be able to reach this island until you've upgraded your ship a couple of times. On this island, you'll encounter a bunch of bird-like creatures as well as the Hamachou Hermit. The Hamachou Hermit will tell you all sorts of strange facts like how many battles you've won, how many treasures you've found, and how good of a fisherman you are. Additionally, one of the last chams is found here and if you want to see the final form of Cupil, you'll definitely want to download this file.

The Second Download

The second file will enable you to engage in an airship fight against the Giant Looper. If you've played the game, one of the most aggravating enemies are the Loopers and if you've always wanted revenge on those bastards, taking out the mother of all Loopers will be sweet satifaction. The Giant Looper is located north of Gordo's Bistro in The New Frontier area, and you won't be able to access this area until your airship is upgraded. Before you can fight the Giant Looper, you must find the Looper's Nest, also located around the same area. Supposedly, beating the Giant Looper will give you a very cool item; if you ever get to fight the Giant Looper, you'll find out why he's so hard to beat.

The Third Download

The final download allows you to purchase to wacky new weapons for Vyse and Aika.

First off, you're going to have to get quite a bit of moolah in order to purchase these weapons. Then, you have to locate the nearest Mystery Merchant. The Mystery Merchant is the Asian looking guy holding a huge sack and wearing a large, orange hat. He randomly appears in different shops all over the place, though a good place to find him is in Maramba. The Mystery Merchant will be found in the first building right in front of the Maramba Port. If he isn't there, just go back to your ship and re-dock; eventually, the Mystery Merchant will show up.

Hopefully you have at least 34,000 gold saved up; that's how much it's going to cost if you wanna get the Tuna Cutlass for Vyse and Swirlmerang for Aika. The Tuna Cutlass will enable Vyse to wield a lethal combination of a chef's knife and frozen tuna! As funny as it looks, this weapon is packs quite a wallop, but unfortunately doesn't have great accuracy. Aika's Swirlmerang is nothing more than a very large lollipop with the Dreamcast swirl on the center. The Swirlmerang is quite powerful, not only delivering pretty good damage, but it has a 99 percent chance of confusing the enemy, even bosses! Check out the screens to see the fish and lollipop yourself. Happy sailing!

Crew Special

After you get 4 members in your party and you begin to recruit members for your ship a new
option will be enabled in hand to hand combat.
This option will be "Crew Sp." and it will appear right above "Items" in the command screen, for it to appear you will have to max out your spirit points, once you do that choose that command, 2 attacks appear, both attacks drain ALL your spirit points.

Prophecy:Causes damage to all enemies on screen.

Blue Rogues: Damage will vary depending on how many crew members you have,if you have them all it causes around 2,000 damage to all
enemies and heals all party members.

Audio Warning Message

Place your Skies of Arcadia disc into your CD player and listen to the characters tell you; "Hey! you can't save the world from a cd player! now put this back in a dreamcast right now!"

Cham Locations

Here is a listing of the Cham Locations in this epic game:

Cham 1: In the HQ on Pirate Isle. As soon as you enter you'll be introduced to the Cham system. It can be found on the walkway.



Cham 2: In the shrine on Shrine Island. It is on the second to bottom floor near a dead end.



Cham 3: Found in the tower on Sailor's Island. It's on the top floor and really hard to miss.



Cham 4: Found on the inn's balcony in Maramba.



Cham 5: Found in the Temple of Pyrynn. It is in a niche after the floor falls.



Cham 6: Found in Horteka, in the northern section of the first area of town.



Cham 7: Found in King's Hideout on the floor. It can't be missed.



Cham 8: Found in the Moon Stone Mountain mines. Near a large shut door, after the second portal slams shut on you.



Cham : 9 Found in the Moon Stone Mountain mines. In the first area after the first two traps.



Cham 10: Found just outside of the Gates to Rixis. It is near the left statue.



Cham 11: Found in Rixis. It is on the stairs near to where you fight Zivilyn Bane.



Cham 12: Found after beating Gordo in Valua.



Cham 13: Gotten from the girl's boss in Nasrad.



Cham 14: Found at the entrance to Daccat's Island.



Cham 15: Found in Daccat's 'Tomb' with the girls.



Cham 16: Found on the Delphinus' deck.



Cham 17: Found in Gordo's Bistro (in North Ocean).



Cham 18: Found in Nasrad, after it is destroyed. It is lying on the ground near the fountain.



Cham 19: Found in Esperanza. It is in the little room at the bottom of the ladder.



Cham 20: Found in Yafutoma. It is near a waterfall.



Cham 21: Found in Mt. Kanzai. It is at an intersection.



Cham 22: Found on the stairs on Exile Island.



Cham 23: Found under the stairs on the first floor of your base.



Cham 24: Found near the flag at your base.



Cham 25: Found in the Ruins of Ice. It is right at the beginning.



Cham 26: Found near the save spot in Glacia.



Cham 27: Found on Hamchou Island. Found above the Dark Rift.



Cham 28: Found on Ilchymis' Island. This island is above the clouds and north of the Valuan Capital. You can't miss it.



Cham 29: Found in the first part of Soltis. It is in the north, near to the exit to the next part of the level.



Cham 30: Found on the floor right at the start of the second area

Abirik Locations

Here are the locations of the three Abiriks.

Abirik 1: A merchant ship in the Ixa'taka region will trade you this thing for 10 Sky Sardis fish. They can be found near Pirate Isle.



Abirik 2: The Nasr merchant in Nasrad gives it to Aika and Fina.



Abirik 3: You get it for running a series of errands for Esperanza's tavernkeep.

Cupil Forms

Here is a list of forms that Cupil can take, along with a list of its capabilities and the effect an Abirik has on it. I have only included the cheapest possible way of creating each type of weapon. Just look at the created from section and backtrack to find the cheapest way to customize Cupil! The list is ordered in a such a way that first Chams are used until the end, then the same way, but after using an Abirik, then two, and finally three.

Discovery List

There are a total of 64 places to discover during the course of this game. These are not too important, they just add the excitement of finding cool and unusual places on the map. You are also paid to find these places. This is done in the Sailor's Guilds in every big city. The earlier that you find and report these finds, the more money that you get paid. The amounts listed are the amounts that I was paid to find them! Looking for these places will result in you fighting more enemies - great for leveling up your magic and stats!

Domingo, one of your crew members rewards you for finding Discoveries. This happens when you have 40, 50 and 64 of them. Just talk to him in the meeting room on Crescent Island to collect your reward.

#1-2 can be found at the beginning.

#3-9 require the ability to pass through reefs.

#10-18 require Belleza's engine.

#19-24 can be found after the Iron Gate has been opened.

#25 and #47 can be discovered when the party is split.

#26-35 require the ability to travel through Sky Rifts.

#36-45 are found in and beyond the Dark Rift.

#46 is automatically found when you return to Crescent Island on Disk 2.

#48-64 can be found after the Ruins of Ice, when the Delphinus can fly above and below the clouds!



Pirate's Grave

Location: Just north of the waterfall found to the north of Pirate's Isle. It is on a little island there.

Pay: Information sells for 120 gold.



Guidestones

Discovery: #2

Location: Directly to the north of Sailor's Island. It's on a very small island, so it can be hard to find.

Pay: Information sells for 40 gold.



Sky Coral

Discovery: #3

Location: East of Shrine Island. In the air behind a pair of smaller islands. You need to wait until you can pass through the reefs before you can get this one or the next one.

Pay: Information sells for 680 gold.



Silver Moon Pit

Discovery: #4

Location: On the side of a barren mountain to the east of Shrine Island. You need to go through the reef.

Pay: Information sells for 1600 gold.



Topple Rocks

Discovery: #5

Location: Right near to Maramba, on the same island. It can be found on the side of a mountain.

Pay: Information sells for 160 gold.



Wandering Lake

Discovery: #6

Location: You'll see a floating lake above the desert near Maramba.

Pay: Information sells for 400 gold.



Oasis

Discovery: #7

Location: Southeast from Maramba. It is in the middle of the desert near some mountains.

Pay: Information sells for 500 gold.



Sandfalls

Discovery: #8

Location: Found on an island high above the desert near Maramba. Really high in the sky!

Pay: Information sells for 680 gold.



Temple of Pyrynn

Discovery: #9

Location: To the east of Maramba. If you miss it, you are blind!

Pay: Necessary to get the Red Crystal. Sells for 280 gold.



Beak Rock

Discovery: #10

Location: South Ocean. Found just west of the Sky Anemone. It is connected to the western side of a large island. Very easy to spot.

Pay: Information sells for 800 gold.



Sky Anemone

Discovery: #11

Location: In the southern part of the South Ocean. On an island to the south of the whirlwinds, but more towards the eastern than the western section of the ocean. (it is hard to navigate your ship here due to the strong winds)

Pay: Information sells for 720 gold.



Ixa'Taka

Discovery: #12

Location: Found automatically after crossing the South Ocean.

Pay: Information sells for 220 gold.



Garpa Fruits

Discovery: #13

Location: Near the roots underneath Horteka. Weird place for giant fruit!

Pay: Information sells for 180 gold.



The Great Bird

Discovery: #14

Location: Very obviously located in the middle of the jungle.

Pay: Information sells for 240 gold. You also get the Great Bird's Eye.



The Golden Man

Location: Found right next to King's Hideout, on top of one of the pillars.

Pay: Information sells for 240 gold. You also get the Golden Man's Eye.



Gates of Rixis

Location: Follow the direction the Great Bird is pointing you in. You'll have to go around some pillars to find it. It is on the southern side of the last pillar, about halfway up the side of it. You need both of the last Discoveries to enter it.

Location: Found due south of the Golden Man, between some rocks on the ground.

Pay: Information sells for 240 gold.

Location: Found in the North Sea, near another island. It is near where the large Valuan net was and is a completely invisible island! (three squares right and four down on the map)

Ship Graveyard

Location: Found floating in the North Dannel Straight. It's invisible.

Location: This is hard to explain. It is on the ground in the western icefield. There is a chain of mountains that is split in a valley. Head southwest from that valley to find the birds.

The Frozen Giant

Location: There is a small mountain in the middle of the ice field. This Discovery is directly north of this mountain, on the north side of a small glacier.

Pay: Information sells for 3600 gold.



Aurora

Location: Found over the large ice field. Just keep hitting the A button and you should find it.

The Blimp Wreck

Location: Found on the closest of the tiny islands to the Dark Rift.

Giant Squid Nest

Location: Found due north of Daccat's Island. It is beyond a Sky Rift and above a crater on a large island.

Black Moon Stone

Location: Found in the Dark Rift.

Pay: Information sells for 4200 gold.



Yafutoma

Location: Found automatically when you look for it. After getting through the Dark Rift, that is!

Uguisu's Nest

Location: Found on a small island northeast of the Dark Rift.

Guardian Walls

Location: Right after the sky rift leading to Yafutoma. Very obvious. If you can't find it, you are blind!

Wanderbirds

Discovery: #40

Location: These birds fly around in circles to the north of Mt. Kanzai. They tend to stay close to the clouds, so if you see them, try to cut them off!

Pay: Information sells for 1500 gold.



Dheerse

Location: Found on a big island above the wall east of the city of Yafutoma.

Pay: Information sells for 950 gold.



Grieving Prince

Discovery: #42

Location: It is on an island in the far left part of map, wedged between an impassible rift and a stone reef. It is south of Yafutoma.

Pay: Information sells for 5400 gold.



Spice Island

Discovery: #43

Location: Found due north of the Uguisa's Nest (through the Sky Rift). It is an invisible Island that is about three quarters of the way up your altitude meter.

Pay: Information sells for 8800 gold. You also get some Khale.



Mystic Orchard

Location: An invisible island in the southwest corner of the map. Quite hard to find. Just keep looking - you can use the experience!

Pay: Information sells for 9800 gold.



Inverse Island

Location: North of Ryu-kan's Island is a small black island. This Discovery is at the same height and a bit to the northeast of the island.

Pay: Information sells for 5200 gold.



World is Round

Discovery: #46

Location: Automatically 'found' when you enter Crescent Island for the first time on Disk 2.

Pay: Information sells for 2800 gold.



Ruins of Rolana

Discovery: #47

Location: South of the Temple of Pyrynn. To get there, you must follow the narrow passage between the dense clouds and the mountains on the far eastern section of the map. It is on the small plateau where the green mountains end. Can be obtained right after Vyse is rescued from Crescent Island.

Pay: Information sells for 6000 gold.



Southern Cross

Discovery: #48

Location: Found below the clouds, to the north of the Ruins of Ice.

Pay: Information sells for 7400 gold.



Rainbow Island

Discovery: #49

Location: Climb above the clouds near Crescent Island and head to the end of the rainbow (southeast). Search there for an invisible island.

Pay: Information sells for 3000 gold.



Moon Stone Lake

Discovery: #50

Location: Above the clouds and to the west of Pirate Isle. It is very obvious!

Pay: Information sells for 4200 gold.



Iron Star

Discovery: #51

Location: Found above the clouds near Rainbow Island. It is possible to see it from afar.

Pay: Information sells for 4800 gold.



Alupas

Discovery: #52

Location: Found on a island above the clouds. It is to the south of Rixis.

Pay: Information sells for 3200 gold.



Observatory

Location: Found on a plateau to the south of Rixis. It is above the clouds.

Pay: Information sells for 5200 gold.



Dancing Lights

Location: Found below the clouds to the northeast of Nasrad. They are underneath Valua and serve to show you where the cracks to the Maw of Tartas are.

The Mother Tree

Location: Found on an island due south of Tenkou Island. It is above the clouds.

Pay: Information sells for 6400 gold.



The Ghost Ship

Discovery: #56

Location: This ship sails above the rifts around the Dark Rift.

Pay: Information sells for 7000 gold.



Flutterflies

Location: Head to Sailor's Island and climb above the clouds and wait for this pack of butterflies to come. It should take no longer than 15 minutes, which is a lot better than looking around for them!

Pay: Information sells for 15200 gold.



Eclipse Point

Discovery: #58

Location: While flying above the clouds in northern Looper Ocean (the area that is found to the north of Ixa'taka and to the east of Yafutoma, the sky will darken. Hit A when this happens, or at least in the vicinity of it to get this Discovery.

Pay: Information sells for 12200 gold.



Looper's Nest

Location: Found due north of King's Hideout. It is on the cliffside near a Sky Rift.

Pay: Information sells for 11000 gold.



Flying Machine

Location: Found on a small island below the clouds. This island is slightly to the northwest of Pirate Isle.

Pay: Information sells for 7600 gold.



Valuan Wreckage

Discovery: #61

Location: Found below the clouds on a sole island west of Nasrad.

Pay: Information sells for 12400 gold.



Rabbats

Discovery: #62

Location: Found under the clouds, due north of the Dancing Lights. These bats hang from the bottom of the Valuan continent!

Pay: Information sells for 7000 gold.



Bottomless Pit

Discovery: #63

Location: Found below the clouds. It is invisible and very hard to find. It is to the west of Shrine Island.

Pay: Information sells for 9600 gold.



Ancient Fish

Discovery: #64

Location: Found below the clouds to the west of the Giant Squid Nest. They sell for 3,000 gold a fish!

Pay: Information sells for 8600 gold.

Tip: Cancel Effects

An easy way to avoid getting attacked by really anoying enemies is like this: Cast a confusion spell or get the Swirlmerang from the net to tackle the bigger ones, then attack it right after it's confused. It will cancel it's current attack. Most it'll do will be a counter attack.
